Odin 2 is a 12-voice polyphonic semi-modular synthesizer.

Earth shattering basses, exquisite leads or mad FX, Odin's got them all! Use the classic sound of analog waveforms - or draw your own.

High quality emulations of legendary analog filters like the Moog-ladder or the Korg-35 further shape your signal. Round your sound off with four onboard FX, or get crazy with modulation.

Requires CPU with AVX instruction set (about 2012 or later) and latest VC++ Redistributable for Windows systems.

I remember trying Odin 1 a while back and had problems sadly, but discovered this just today and was pleasantly situated within this version. Made a nice little demo video here : https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=J8Ujuu3xvqY . Thanks so much for upgrading this further. Lovely job

After installation Kaspersky reported malware and removed same - anyone else getting this problem?

It's probably a false positive. Antivirus are touchy sometimes....

I'm not convinced this was a false positive - while Kaspersky was cleaning up it found 2 copies of odin2.tmp in sperate folders in Appdata/Temp, both flagged as containing a Trojan PDM:Trojan:Win32.Generic. Thes attempted to run processes that Kaspersky stopped and quarantined. After I'd run the installer the first time, Odin2.vst wasn't in the folder it was supposed to be in. I checked the Odin2.exe installer against multiple online virus checkers and they also found a trojan. It would be sensible for the file author to check this download.

Hi Alan. Yes, this is a false positive. I've had another user report this before. The installer is built with InnoSetup, which Kaspersky doesn't seem to like. Multiple instances of such cases can be found online, with the exact type of malware you describe (PDM: Trojan.win32.Genericobject type). I'd have to send the installer to Kaspersky to get it whitelisted. With the kind of rolling-release schedule I am doing right now this is hardly feasible. Inno Setup creates the .tmp files in the process of the installation and starts a process on them. It removes them afterwards. This is perfectly normal. If you didn't find the VST3 in your directory and still had .tmps, my best bet is that something went wrong in the installation process and InnoSetup didn't clean up afterwards. Maybe Kaspersky aborted the process inbetween. Just to be sure, I rebuilt the installer on a freshly set-up machine. The version output by this and the installer on my website are bit-identical. Interestingly, when checking the installer with VirusTotal, Kaspersky seems to be ok with it. But another engine marks it as a "Potentially Unwanted Program", which isn't a virus but a category for those shady installers which install unwanted toolbars and such. In summary, I am very confident that the installer does not contain a virus. I appreciate your investigations and according reports though. Security is important!

Thanks - I suspect that Kaspersky halted the install, leaving the tmp file behind with no vst3 file installed. I'll download from your site again, and see how it goes - I can always tell Kaspersky to ignore file.

Works fine in Reaper 6.11 (Win7 x64). There is no documentation, tutorials, or example patches yet, but it's easy (and FUN) enough to tinker on until you get an acceptable result.

No, it's vst3 only and I don't believe LMMS supports vst3.

No longer requires AVX and now comes with an arpeggiator and two sequencers. It just gets better.

Loving this synth. Im a sucker for formant sounds and the formant filters are amazing imo. Any chance you`ll release them as a standalone audio effect? :p

This synth is a beautiful creation and it is absurdly easy to make great sounds with it. The variety of oscillator types and wavetables gives enormous potential especially together with the mod matrix. TheWaveWarden has given fantastic support throughout and I can fully recommend this download. Works beautifully in Reaper.

Odin is great. To see an advanced version with clean interface just makes me happy. Today I start the production of my second album and was just browsing if there's somthing new. Such a surprise was unexpected. By the way: If you contact the developer, his support is great. Stay healthy people!

The interface kinda gave me the "typical generic freeware synth" vibe. But after seeing some reviews I decided to give it a try. I am thoroughly impressed. Love the layout, everything is on one page, tons of different routing, filter and osc options. Every time I have made a patch it has sounded awesome and I got to the sound fairly quickly. Really really enjoying this one, highly recommended. Interface not resizable right now but I hear the dev is gonna update soon and enable resizing.

This is a good synth. It's meant to emulate Reason's Thor. I have Reason rack, and Thor. It's 1 or 2 percents heavier on the cpu, but has more analog emulation filters, and additive synthesis. Very good synth for free

What I can say is that I found this synth simply fantastic, easy to use, and you can put the options in the sequence you want, with a few seconds playing I was already making a sound .. I will use a lot, both because it is very good, but also because it has a Linux version! Thank you :)

really wanted to check this out, but some strange reason it's bloody VST3! 3?!?!! Why man, why? can't use that in ableton. does anyone know of a workaround? I dl'd Odin 1 anyways. There are no presets dammit. The other closest vst I can think of is something like Addtractive. Lots of potential with this one.

Steinberg prohibits distribution of VST2 synths if you didn't register with them before fall of 2018.

I'm using it in Ableton 10. Upgrading to v10 is worth the money, anyway.
