Echobox D7 emulates an echo tape mode found in a particular Japanese stomp-box which itself was a digital remake of a famous American tape echo.
  • Delay Time – adjusts, well, delay time (overall range is 30 – 2600 ms).
  • Repeat – adjusts amount of feedback (values above 5 result in (self-)oscillation).
  • Delay Level – sets the volume of delays that gets mixed with dry signal (not wet/dry ratio!).
  • Range – sets the delay time range in which the Delay Time knob operates (30-160, 120-650, 480-2600 ms).
  • Mute – “true” bypass in the sense that it also clears the delay buffer, so you get the behavior as with regular stomp-box (i.e. no weird echos that remain in buffer and return right after switching the effect on again as is the rather common case with time based plug-ins, regular DAW bypass however exhibits this awkward behavior).
  • Manual BPM sync – a set of six “kick” buttons and one three-way switch that allow quick setting of musically relevant delay times relative to actual project tempo.

If you're looking for a 64-bit equivalent of the ArcDev ET-200, this is it. Lovely self-oscillation and analog sound

Oh so SWEET! This really captures that old analog sound to a tee. Real nice decay on the delay sond. This is exactly what I was miising. And free too! Thanks to this dev for this quality plug!

Very interesting. The 'reapeating' behaviour sounds to decay nicely.

Sounds fantastic, thanks! Really like it! One issue and a nitpick: In Reaper (Win10, x64 .dll), I can't get the Mute to automate. Adding an automation lane for that parameter causes it to remain muted regardless of setting or GUI display. Nitpick is that parameter shows up as "Bypass" in the automatable functions, would prefer "Mute" as there is a master "Bypass".

You can perhaps test this idea: Put this plug in an Aux Track. Then, put your automation on the Aux track. Like this you can feed your delay with all tracks that need to be delayed. The automation will automate the ration between dry and wet signal. I would do like this. When you don't need this delay, you put down the fader of your Aux "delay plugin" track. Perhaps I am wrong ... but that's what I will do ...

Thanks! I just tested it (Win8, x64, Repaer 6.03), it should work, for now just make sure that the last point of the automation curve is really at 0 (un-mute). Sometimes the point gets stuck at something like 0.0009 which is enough to make the button remain in muted state. I'll try to make it behave in a more sane way, so, stay tuned for next update (in few days if all goes well). The parameter naming is already revamped, it was indeed slightly confusing. Also thanks everyone for input and feedback ;) Ah, and one small note - although I lurk here often, if you have some particular problem with my plug-ins please contact me through my blog, at GS, or at KVR. That way you have better chance to get it resolved, as taking track even of those three places is pretty challenging for me :D (thanks for understanding ;)

Just a short notice - the problem with Mute was indeed deeper than appeared to me on the first sight. Thanks for reporting this bug, and sorry for the inconvenience (and slightly off info in my previous reply O_o). However, it's now all ironed out in new version 1.10 (there are also some new features added). Enjoy ;)
