Piano One, the free hybrid modeling Yamaha Concert Grand.

The Sound of Piano One comes from the Yamaha C7 concert grand, a true workhorse in the professional piano world, appearing on famous concert stages, in international competitions and in prestigious music events throughout the world.

By utilizing the Sound Magic Hybrid Modeling Engine, Piano One offers both the Realistic Sound of Sampling and the Playability of Modeling. Hybrid Modeling provides an instantaneous feeling - no delay - and a truer and richer sound than canbe created with either sampling or modeling alone. What's more, Piano One utilizes only 150MB, which is quite a small footprint, making Piano One usable even on older PCs. There is no waiting time when loading and the CPU usage is so small that it's virtually unnoticeable.

Like other great pianos from Sound Magic. Piano One is equipped with a full featured Add-on system which enables you to enhance Piano One with over 20 different add-ons from the Sound Magic Online Add-on Store. Add-ons add different special features to Piano One. They can make your life a little easier, letting you quickly and precisely modify your sound, your style and much, much more. These add-ons are all precision designed with a particular purpose or for a particular style of music. It's also possible to choose a completely different piano sound when you simply feel you need a new color or a new style.
  • Sound Magic Hybrid Modeling Technology.
  • 32 Polyphony Limited.
  • Add-on System (needs internet connection).
  • Actual modeling and soft pedal samples vividly present the sound of three
    kinds of pedals.
  • Built-in professional Reverb Engine simulates resonances with environment
and soundboard, adding extra realism to the sound.
  • Faster load times. Smaller hard drive footprint, less memory and less CPU
    usage.

That's bkz you've misplaced, or rather separate the Dll from the "exe." execution folder along with the Vst's sounds Library.. What you need to do is make sure ALL the assembled part's/complete folder file that came with the P1 etc are all together firstly.. Then you need to MOVE them to your Programs 86xsteinbergVST folder!! And if it came in a ZIP file the best way to handle those is to move (not copy, not extract, not install) the complete "Zip" folder from your downloads area which you should be able to easily find the Zip file there from wench you downloaded it.. Go to the file in your downloads.. Click to make it high light up light blue (or whatever color your file turns when prompted with your mouse cursor) instead of it being grey. Then you wanna go to the top of the page where the features to move, copy files etc. Click move. Another prompt drop box will that should show previously copied, or moved files along with your some of your computers PC OS options.. Look at the very bottom of the box and you'll see the "Choose Location" feature where all your programs & files are located on your hard drive.. At that point you just go to the (program 86xsteinbergVST) pathway location and and engage the MOVING of the Zip file folder to that location! THEN if you wanna look to see if all the associated folder files are there you can.. But don't install, or extract it unless it be necessary to place/situate the file in it's location home base were it will stay and reside.. First see if you can just move it to the proper location and start your DAW to see if it scans.. Then if it doesn't you may have to (extract) it feel me? If you have trouble figuring out how to move the Zip folder in the "Choose locations" you can find your way thru the locations prompts by simply clicking on "My PC, then click OS" which is your (C Drive locations) that will open up the "Programs & Programs 86x" area as you scroll down to place the Zip file in the Program 86xsteinbergVST!! Im figuring you're on a 32 bit host system being the Piano one is 32 bit only.. Which is WHY you have to put it in the 86x program area bkz that's were ALL 32 bit's go.. Either 64x or 86x for 32 bit plugins.. I myself am on a Dell 64 bit system so i put mines in the plain ProgramsteinbergVST with no 86x.. This detailed information i gave you as to how to manage your downloaded programs, and files.. And what to do if it doesn't come with an exe. installer file, just a Zip will hold firm and true for EVERYTHING there after dealing with Vst's, Zips, Exe. files, Libraries, Dll's etc feel me? Iv'e been thru it all with these damned Vst downloads ahah.. I am now a Vst download management MASTER!! I never lose files and rarely install a Vst incorrectly bkz i know exactly how to find them, and where they should be placed..It does get a lil tricky sometimes bkz OLD Vst's typically don't come with support, i.e installer exe file!! But..>> Always go to your downloads area behind the scene of your computer (Windows explorer, or whatever Mac's is called lol)to find anything/file you've lost/ can't find in the programs where you may have misplaced something.. One more very important tip..You can also use your SEARCH box to find the file quickly.. And this is the kicker right here most people don't even use. You can click the downward arrow on the right side of the "Date modified" at the top of your file page where it shows the NameDate modifiedTypeSize of files.. There will be a another prompt BOX that shows the DATES of your most recent, latest, oldest downloads.. It will say Today, Last week, Last month, a year ago etc.. This is how you find exactly what you've downloaded/ been downloading and it will show ONLY the most recent downloads, or whatever you check in the dates boxes e.g last week, last month and so on!! That way you don't have to search scroll thru hundreds of past downloads just to find the one you really want access to.. It's a game changer i'm telling you bro.. The speed, and TIMING saved alone finding, and FIXING folders, files or needing to re install exe file, or get the Dll from inside a Zip folder and so forth is worth learning how to do what i explained.. If you follow what i said to an exact T you should never have an issue with losing Vst folders, files ever again etc.. Tho you will still occasionally fk up and place, install something wrong.. AT LEAST you know you can remedy the issue with little to no STRESS!! Stoppage of work flow making music, or playing with your Vst toy's which is what you really want to be doing.. Not being lost, locked out and can't find the Dll's, or library folders ahaha ijs tho!! Salute to you bro and anybody else who struggles with Vst downloads bkz it's for everybody to make it easier on yourselves. Hope you have better luck from here on out.. And hope what i shared is conducive to making things flow more smoothly for you fam peace..

Cubase 10 Win does not recognise that it exists as a VST instrument. Here's what I did: - double click .msi file (64 bit) - give it the correct path to 64 bit VST plugin folder - install. The .dll is now in the correct folder but the instrument has not been picked up by Cunase. ANy one have any ideas?

I like the sound of this plugin (and maybe Yamaha pianos in general). However, as others have stated, it won't trigger two notes in a row, so you need to cut the first note a bit shorter, which could make the part sound more lively and realistic. It might be a feature, not a bug. ;-)

It does that sometimes... not just with piano 1 but with other VSTs as well. Just click on the vestige track after your project has reloaded and relocate & select piano 1 again. For that session it should work fine. After that it should continue to load, but sometimes LMMS is a bit wonky, especially if you're in the habit of messing with your plugins folders. Hope it helped

Just tested in Zynewave and I'm impressed...a very real & accurate sounding one! If you are looking for a great piano sound, take this one and add reverb to it in ur favored DAW! Most of the other pianos around here are way worser than this one, except CVPiano, the only free one that can compete with Piano One. Though, the advantage of piano one is: No installing required and also takes way less CPU and Diskspace than CVPiano does. CVPiano might be slightly advantageos maybe, when using it with a midi keyboard for playing notes quickly in a row. Anyway, Piano One is a MUSTHAVE in any DAW Ins Collections.

Try this: 1. If you're using a 64 bit Windows, then copy the instruemnt to the "VST x64" folder instead (or the one you've got assigned to this) 2. The *.Zip file comes with two files and a folder. Make sure that it downlaoded correctly (try re-downloading it). Also, make sure that you extract the contents of the compressed package directly inside your VST folder. The DLL alone won't work, you also need the folder that comes with it. Please let me know if it helped you.

Great if you can get it working. I have it on my old XP laptop and it works great. Downloaded and installed it twice on my new PC, once the zip file from one reputable site and then the rar file directly from the Paino1 site. Made sure not only the .dll files but the whole folder was installed to my VST folder, even tried making a new folder.. my Daw scans and finds it... it opens up.. but no sound and the keys don't show any sign of responding no matter if I strike them with my controller or the mouse. I'm about to give up.

Unzip the file using winrar or 7zip. Just right click and click "extract files". Once the file is unzipped place it inside the folder where the other plugins are located (my pluggins folder is located on Program Files (x86). If you DO NOT have a file for your pluggins just created one and place it there. Then open FL STudio > options > file settings > VST extra plugin search folder, Then just select the folder where the plugin is located :)

This is the piano sound I've been waiting for since the mid 90s. You only hear the tone and reverberation. You don't hear the action, or any other crap. This is PURE. Not to mention the decay to silence is flawless, and the tones mingle sweetly. And it's fucking FREE. Also, I'm using this on several years old P4 machines, win7 32-bit, 2gb of ram, embedded audio, and having no problems. Nuff said!

This is the only piano vst I have used and I am not really thinking about trying another one. For those who feel it is not giving you a soft sound when you touch the keys slowly, reduce the minimum volume to 0. Add some release so that the note sustains a bit. This can make you sound really good. Note that the present version also has more options not shown in the figure.

I am a classical Pianist, allow me to describe, this freebie is on top, the freaking best I have worked with, I read some of the others comments, one in particular I will respond to as I praise this, if these controls are limited for you-JUST RUN another plugin side by side in your track BUS, this is pretty simple to do you know! For me, I really don't need to download other pianos sound banks, being clever with the control, limited as you may think, you can change up the piano one to sound like other pianos-a good EAR work's nicely for this so complicated endeavor its actually SIMPLE. Turning the knobs can be FUN for you-Give it a try. Just don't sprain your forefinger clicking the mouse buttons. Don't waste your money on buying Piano VST at your local 'Guitar Center' or on some VST website, download this one, turn on your states classical radio station and listen, you can tune piano one to what is being played.

I compared the audio for the piano one with a Yamaha Clavinova CVP and then realised how good the piano one is. The shape and fall of the note and the overall tone is good enough to confuse the piano one with the Clavinova's default piano. The only fault with the Piano One sound is that it doesn't fare well for a natural clean studio no reverb sound.

I just downloaded the supreme piano 1 for Macintosh Audio Unit version 1.1 I'm confused because I see Windows download is version 1.3, but in any case, I installed the plugin into Digital Performer, and the piano sound is beautiful. I am wondering why I don't see the 3 buttons as shown on the website in the plug-in. The 3 buttons I am referring to are the ones pictured on the website and are labeled: "More Pianos", "Addon System", and "Web updates". It also does not have sliders for each parameter, but rather knobs. There are also no reverb types, only a knob to increase or decrease. I also ran the windows VST version, and noticed the same thing. Does anyone know why this is. I am very interested in the other products, but am concerned if purchasing any additional instruments will have this issue.
